Treten Sie ein, um Münster zu erLeben...

"99+1 ist mehr als 100" – Zum Abschluss des Projektes. (Deutsch)

Einhundert Tage ohne Pause.

“99+1 is more than 100”. To end the project. (English)

First, I want to thank al of those who participated in this project, for their extraordinary support. Without it, I don’t think I would have been able to achieve it. To my Guests, to my silent advisors and to all of you, those who worked behind the scenes and made these photos a reality.
One hundred Photos. They are not really enough to present a photographical profile of Münster, that’s the multifaceted way that the city revealed itself to me during the lasts weeks and months. With regret, I had to limit the choices, even though a lot of other topics would have also been very appropriate to complete this project. I apologise for the moments when not all the daily shootings where published, they were all relevant and part of this path.
One hundred days without a pause. It was a huge challenge. One hundred days performing as an industrial belt, no days off, not a chance for recovery.
Most münsterans were very open and cooperative, which gave me a lot of strength in those moments, nevertheless, to succeed in the project, I had to learn to step back and practice tolerance, as well as not taking things a something personal.
I grew up as a person as well as an artist. I had the chance to see my weaknesses and my strengths. The process had unexpected results that I’ll cherish for as long as I live, such as understanding and accepting others, forgiving, asking and the value of gratitude.
Through the selection of “99+1” as a tittles, I had the expectation that the photo number100 would be the culmination point of the project. Instead, in the meantime I realized that the process is more relevant than the so-called goal, to shoot a last photo “plus one”.
I still long to take that last photo as it appear in my imagination - 50 elderly people riding their bikes, from a bird eye view in the Cathedral’s Square - and I’ll do my best to achieve it.
Now that the project came to an end, I want to express my purpose behind it. With these photos I want to thank Münster and the people of this fantastic city for all they have given and permitted my daughter, and myself.
Thank you Münster, this is my humble present for you!
